Planning for maternity photos can be easy with a few tips.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Pregnancy is one of the most memorable times in a woman\u2019s life. But, as I recall, it\u2019s also one of the busiest! Your to-do list is probably a mile long, and you\u2019ve only got a small window of time to get everything done, including maternity photos. I\u2019ve been there, mama!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But don\u2019t let the small window of time prevent you from scheduling your maternity photos. With a bit of planning, you can have a beautiful maternity photo session. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

REMEMBER YOUR WHY FOR HAVING MATERNITY PHOTOS TAKEN<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019ll be the first to admit that I didn\u2019t feel like I was a \u201cglowing\u201d pregnant woman. I\u2019m here to tell you that it\u2019s perfectly normal if you\u2019re feeling a little self-conscious. Your body is going through many changes, which can be overwhelming at times.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But I want you to remember your WHY for having maternity photos taken in the first place. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Of course, you\u2019ll want to have these photos so you and your partner can remember this special time. Maybe these photos will be the last ones before you become a family or add a family member. But the number one reason you\u2019re documenting this time is probably for your sweet child.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Do you have a photo of your mother when she was pregnant with you? I don\u2019t have one, but I wish I did.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you ever doubt yourself in the photo planning process, please keep in mind that your child will CHERISH these photos!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

PLANNING YOUR MATERNITY PHOTO SESSION<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As your photographer, my goal is to provide a relaxing experience and create the most beautiful images you\u2019ve ever seen of yourself. The journey to motherhood is beautiful, and I don\u2019t want you to miss documenting this time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Part of helping you feel relaxed during your session is by carefully planning. <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Before stepping into my studio, you and I have a full design consultation. We plan your entire session out from wardrobe to background. All you have to do is arrive at my studio and enjoy a day of pampering and celebration!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHEN TO SCHEDULE YOUR MATERNITY PHOTOS<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Babies run on their own timelines. But I suggest scheduling your maternity photo session toward the end of your second trimester or early third trimester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you are carrying multiples, or have a history of going into labor early, consider that when scheduling photos.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WHAT TO WEAR FOR YOUR MATERNITY PHOTOS<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The million-dollar question, \u201cWhat do I wear for my maternity photos?\u201d<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are many options for this, and it all depends on your personal preference and aesthetic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Long flowy gowns are fabulous for simulating movement and providing an ethereal feel. Form-fitting dresses are great because they accentuate your curves, especially the beautiful baby bump!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
To keep your maternity photos looking timeless, keep clothing items simple. Avoid trendy patterns and stick to solid colors when possible. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some other wardrobe options to consider are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

White button-down shirt<\/li>\n\n\n\n

Whatever you decide to wear, make sure you feel confident. When you wear clothes that you feel good in, it shows in your posture and photos.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
