I have been bursting at the seams waiting to share this particular shoot with you because (a) I love working with senior girls (b) we had a ton of fun getting her all glammed up and (c) she is drop dead gorgeous – and smart to boot. Naomi is a little on the shy side but you would not know it looking at these portraits – she brought it full force with the smiles, the dramatic soulful eyes and the sweet innocence of a young girl. If all my future senior portrait clients in Nashville are as sweet and easygoing as Naomi and her mom, Miquela, I will be in photographer heaven!
Here are some of my favorites from my session with the incredibly beautiful, Naomi:
And then BAM! She brings in the model face. Check out the intensity here!
Do you see what I mean by “soulful eyes?”
Of course, no senior portraits (especially in Nashville) are complete without some glam. We added in the lovely and fun black tulle skirt to give a more glamorous feel to the shoot. We had a blast dancing around and shooting in this dress. There’s just something so beautiful and classic about how it all looks, especially in black and white.
Caught up in the moment. I love it 🙂
We weren’t done dancing – especially after I saw this cute sparkly number with a flared skirt.
Switching it up to light and airy with some beautiful backlight.
Next we did some magazine style beauty portraits to really showcase the Naomi’s gorgeous face.
This was one that we did early on in the shoot with a more natural makeup look – isn’t it amazing the difference between the natural and the smokey eye look? One looks more young, soft and the other is vavavoom for sure.
Naomi and her lovely mom, Miquela opted for the Folio Box with 20 beautifully matted fine art prints. They chose a beautiful white on white floral damask pattern for their box and I think it turned out just perfectly. I loved working with them so much that I made sure to include a few surprises…scroll down to see their client gift.
The Folio Box open with a stack of 20 fine art matted prints inside.
A peek at the Photo Box open and a small sample of the fine art matted prints that usually tuck in inside. These are my favorite products because they are so versatile – you can frame a few, rotate the images in the frames throughout the year, tuck them inside the box if you want to keep them private or take out one or two and display in classy little easels around the house.
How the Folio box looks closed – you can see how thick it is to hold 20 fine art matted prints. The mini albums on the side were a gift from my studio.
Because I somehow wanted to include my favorite chair 🙂
I gifted them a set of 3 accordion mini albums so they can share with their family and friends. These make a great gift for grandparents as well- something they can carry with them in their purse or pocket to show off their gorgeous granddaughter.
A view of one of the accordion mini albums open. The final client order all wrapped up with a nice hand written note. Because that’s how I roll.
I had an incredible time photographing Naomi and getting to know a bit more about her. If you’re in the market for the best senior portrait photographer in Nashville, contact me today to get more information. Take a peek at our Beauty gallery or scroll through our incredible Before & Afters.
As I mentioned, I love working with teens and since most seniors have to get their portraits done quite early for the yearbook I wanted to let you know that I am taking bookings through September for senior portraits. If you are a soon to be high school senior or know a soon to be high school senior that would love to have something unique, styled and fashionable send them my way.Â
Love these!
She looks so beautiful and glamorous!!
Gorgeous photos of a gorgeous girl! I love how you captured all of the different sides of her: sweet, confident, soft, fun. I love how it all came together in the beautiful Photo Box too. They look so amazing matted and I love your packaging!
Beautiful girl! Phenomenal work, Fizzah!
