Hi there guys! I just wanted to pop in between loads of editing and retouching (which means lots more updates on the blog and Facebook page) to share this super fun family session with the Fischer family from Burlingame. They are originally from Oregon and love the outdoors. They’ve spent quite a few weekends exploring Golden Gate Park so that just felt like the natural place to shoot. Ronnie came along as my assistant and I couldn’t be more thankful. Having him take care of the gear and help with reflectors, lgihting, etc. leaves my mind free to focus on capturing the beautiful and sometimes goofy moments 🙂
I’ll stop with the chit chat and let you enjoy this awesome family. Behind the scenes video and slideshow are coming up soon!
Brynn and Cavan were super shy at the beginning but look how they warmed up! It may have taken lots of absolutely silly antics on my part and I’m sure half the time they were thinking about what a big nerd…err I mean big kid I am. Anything for the shot, right?
I love this photo because it is so natural and relaxed and you can tell they are all giggling away having a great time.
I always like to make sure I get a really good couple shot of mom and dad because often they’re the ones taking the photos. Often I find out that the last time mom and dad had a beautiful portrait together was at their wedding! It is so incredibly important to be present in photos together as a couple and as a family (ahem, moms that resist!). Trust me, you and your children will cherish those photos later.
Can’t you just feel the love in this one? Not only is Cavan totally having a moment with his mom, Tiffany but seeing Brynn all snuggled up into Justin made this photo complete.
Cavan is just so adorable with those gorgeous light eyes and toothy smile. I’m so happy that we were able to get that one of a kind smile from him because before you know it he’ll be all grown up. And let me tell you, he is hilarious! At one point, I asked the kids to help me make the parents laugh. I thought maybe they’d make some silly jokes. But out of nowhere, Cavan starts making this sound that can only be described as a mix between a frog and a burp. It took everyone by surprise and we all ended up in giggle fits for quite a while after that.
Brynn is both beautiful and bright…exactly as a cowgirl should be.
We ended the day in another area of the park that was wooded so we could get a beautiful natural background. That is one good looking (and amazingly down to earth) family!
