Nashville Business Headshot: Interior Designer
Headshots are such an important, yet overlooked part of an entrepreneur’s business. Headshots build a level of trust with your potential client and give them a visual of who they will be working with. When done correctly, a professional headshot will align with your business and personal brand. Is your brand modern and minimal with clean lines? Or are you a maximalist with lots of color and textures? Do you have an earthy and natural health and wellness business or do you work primarily with top notch lawyers? Are you a hair and makeup artist? These are all things to consider when selecting your wardrobe, your hair and make and style of headshot. They may feel like slight differences but they make a difference.
Another thing to consider is what you want to use your professional headshots for. Do you need something for LinkedIn and maybe your social media avatars? Are you planning to put out print marketing materials and need something with an extended background to add text? Or perhaps you need a wide variety of images that have a more lifestyle feel showing your personality along with what you do. For example, an interior designer that wants to use branding photos for her website and social media may want photos of herself working with a client, planning out a space, looking through various tiles or fabrics, shopping at her favorite design houses, etc.
Sue came to me for her headshots and wanted a very clean modern look as it represented her brand. She has a comprehensive background in interior architecture, space planning and decorative works. She’s a graduate of Parson’s School of Design in New York and Paris – how impressive is that?
In addition, much like all of my clients, she wanted something more contemporary and not a stuffy corporate photo. My style lends itself to a mix of professional headshot and beauty magazine. And my clients use their photos for a wide range of uses, from simple LinkedIn photos all the way to billboard and print marketing or magazine features.
